As per the ground information, the wheat crop in Bihar is in flowering to dough stages. This is the time when abiotic stresses like high temperature or drought affects the yield of the crop adversely. Thus, the crop need to be irrigated according to the prevailing weather conditions. In this report, we have collated the analysis carried out by the metGIS ® , ground information and current weather conditions in several wheat growing districts of Bihar. In Rohtas , the cumulative growth index of wheat is 2056 when sown during 45th week of the year. The growth index indicates that the crop is at flowering to dough stage. As per the ground information, the crop growth is good and has been irrigated at least four times. The production is expected to be higher than the last year.
