Wheat Status in Uttar Pradesh

In this report we have collated the field information, analysis carried out by ‘metGIS®’ for Wheat crop and current weather conditions in several districts of Uttar Pradesh.
In Agra, the cumulative growth index of wheat in the district is 1711 when sowing was commenced during 46th week of the year. The growth index indicates flowering stage of the crop.  The relative humidity during the growth period has been between 54 and 79 percent. Currently, the maximum temperature is ranging around 25oC and minimum temperature is around 14oC. As per the Weather Sys, no rainfall is expected over the district during next seven days.
In Aligarh, the cumulative growth index of wheat is 1717 when sown during 46th week of the year. The growth index indicates that the crop has attained flowering stage. As per the field information, the crop is being irrigated fourth time after applying N fertilizer. Pesticides are also being applied to curb some incidence of Aphids which has been observed recently.  The RH during the growth period has been between 43 and 76 percent. Currently, maximum temperature is hovering around 25oC and minimum temperature is settling at around 12oC. During next seven days, no rainfall is expected in the district.

In Kanpur, considering the sowing during 46th week of the year, the cumulative growth index of wheat is 1674 which indicates flowering of the crop.  As per the ground information, farmers are using their own irrigation sources and the crop has been irrigated at least three times. The relative humidity has been between 47 and 77 percent during the growth period. Currently, the day temperature is around 30oC and night temperature is around 12oC. WeatherSys predicts no rainfall in the district during next seven days.

In Moradabad, the cumulative growth index of wheat is 1713 when sowing was started during 45th week of the year. According to growth index, the crop is at flowering stage.  The RH during the growth period has been between 39 and 75 percent. The maximum temperature in the district is ranging around 29oC and minimum temperature is around 12oC. As per the meteogram, no rainfall is expected in the district during next seven days and weather is likely to remain warm and dry.
In Raibareli, the cumulative growth index of wheat is 1854 when sowing was started during 45th week of the year. According to growth index, the crop is at flowering stage.  The RH during the growth period has been between 41 and 77 percent. The maximum temperature in the district is ranging around 30oC and minimum temperature is around 11oC. There has been no significant rainfall during the entire Rabi season. No rainfall is expected in the district during next seven days and weather is likely to remain warm and dry.
