Temperature Rising in North-West India

Currently, temperatures are increasing steadily in NW and Central India. However, due to Western Disturbance during coming week, rainfall or snowfall in the hills could halt the rising temperature for a while in NW India and marginal drop in minimum temperature could be seen. It is expected that the temperature will again increase slowly after next seven to ten days.

According to experts, the standing crops of Wheat, Mustard and Chickpea are not expected to be affected seriously by this increase in the temperature. In this report, we have produced the information generated by metGIS® and weather information for Bhopal (MP), Jaipur (RJ), Ahmedabad (GJ) and Aligarh (UP) districts.

Here, wheat and chickpea crops have attained flowering stage.  The maximum RH has been between 56 and 78% during the Rabi season.
