All India Wheat Prospect
Overall wheat prospect in India looks
progressing as of date despite reports of poor soil moisture. In fact, overall
rainfall in wheat growing areas had been adequate during kharif. Because of
relatively high temperature in north India during late October and early
November, sowing was delayed smartly by farmers. Once sown, the crop is
progressing well.
We at WeatherSys monitor crop growth
vis-à-vis the actual weather and weather forecast on day to day basis and
arrive at a ‘growth index’ district wise. We also gather ground information on
the status of the crop in major growing districts.
In this report, we have collated information
on Wheat growth in states of Gujarat, Haryana, MP, Punjab and UP.
