Wheat Sowing in Uttar Pradesh Likely to Start in Mid-November

Uttar Pradesh is among major Wheat producing states. Persisting high temperature and lack of required soil moisture are main weather parameters which are affecting wheat sowing in the State. Sowing during higher temperature makes the crop more susceptible for diseases.  As per WeatherSys prediction, temperature are expected to come down around 26oC in many parts of the state during mid-November which will be more suitable time to begin sowing this important foodgrain crop. We at WeatherSys monitor crop growth vis-à-vis the actual weather and weather forecast on day to day basis. We also gather ground information on the status of the crop and associated weather in major growing districts.  In this report, we have collected ground information of Wheat sowing status in several districts of Uttar Pradesh.
