Therefore, contribution of Uttarakhand mandis has barely been 1% of the total arrivals of just top 5 mandis on all India basis during same period.  Normally, it should not have major impact on prices of Tomato.

However, Uttarakhand grown tomatos are mainly supplied to markets in Delhi, Chandigarh and other major cities of North India.  Consequently, the prices in North India is expected to be higher than rest of the country.  The increase in North Indian prices is expected to have bullish sentimental effect on Tomato prices on all India basis during December 2015 to February 2016.
